Security Architect SIEM Engineer

SOFTWARE PEOPLE INC is looking for a talented Security Architect SIEM Engineer to join our team in Saint James, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in designing and strengthening enterprise security infrastructure for a dynamic technology company. Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solutions across the enterprise
- Develop and optimize security architecture frameworks, policies, and standards
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events, alerts, and incidents in real time
- Create and tune correlation rules, dashboards, and reports within the SIEM platform
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate log sources and data feeds into the SIEM environment
- Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis activities
- Support incident response efforts and provide forensic analysis as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Security Architect, SIEM Engineer, or similar cybersecurity role
- Hands-on expertise with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, IBM QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar tools
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, or MITRE ATT&CK
- Experience with log management, threat detection, and incident response
- Familiarity with network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or SIEM-specific credentials preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Compensation: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
